You can access support before you join us, whilst you\u2019re with us and even after you\u2019ve graduated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"definitions\">Definitions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our definition of a student who is care experienced is someone who, at any stage of their life, and for any length of time, has been in the care of their Local Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-tab-heading-1sYJ74 wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-tab-heading\">            <div class=\"ehu-tab-headings\">\n            <ul class=\"tabs__menu definitions\" role=\"tablist\" data-tabsname=\"definitions\">\n                            <li role=\"tab\" class=\"tab tab-active\" data-tabname=\"statutory\">\n                    <a href=\"#statutory\" class=\"tabs__menu-item\">Statutory care leavers<\/a>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li role=\"tab\" class=\"tab \" data-tabname=\"experienced\">\n                    <a href=\"#experienced\" class=\"tabs__menu-item\">Care experienced<\/a>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li role=\"tab\" class=\"tab \" data-tabname=\"estranged\">\n                    <a href=\"#estranged\" class=\"tabs__menu-item\">Estranged students<\/a>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li role=\"tab\" class=\"tab \" data-tabname=\"foyer\">\n                    <a href=\"#foyer\" class=\"tabs__menu-item\">Foyer students<\/a>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li role=\"tab\" class=\"tab \" data-tabname=\"kinship \">\n                    <a href=\"#kinship \" class=\"tabs__menu-item\">Kinship care students<\/a>\n                <\/li>\n                        <\/ul>\n            <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-tab-content-ka2SL wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-tab-content\">                <div class=\"tab-panel definitions\" role=\"tabpanel\" id=\"statutory\" data-tabgroup=\"definitions\">\n                    \n\n<p>Statutory care leavers are young people aged 16-25 years old who have been in the care of the Local Authority for a period of 13 weeks or more before their 16th birthday.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-tab-content-MCxuD wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-tab-content\">                <div class=\"tab-panel definitions\" role=\"tabpanel\" id=\"experienced\" data-tabgroup=\"definitions\">\n                    \n\n<p>Care experienced students are those who have spent time in care during childhood. Often young people will be classed as care experienced rather than care leavers because they left care (for example, through adoption or returning to their family) before their 16<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;birthday.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-tab-content-1vYKNh wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-tab-content\">                <div class=\"tab-panel definitions\" role=\"tabpanel\" id=\"estranged\" data-tabgroup=\"definitions\">\n                    \n\n<p>Estranged students are young people who have no communicative relationship with their biological parents.
