Teaching in schools to coaching elite athletes. Sports development to sports therapy. The Department of Sport and Physical Activity offers facilities and work-based learning opportunities to equip you with the skills you need to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strong emphasis is put on practical work, and our programmes are supported by our outstanding facilities. Our programme teams offer a wealth of interests and expertise. This includes coaching national teams and local clubs, collaborating with national governing bodies, and conducting consultations and scientific support with national teams and their athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Facilities<\/span>\n

Whatever your choice of programme, you will be joining a course supported by some of the best facilities in higher education. You will have access to dedicated biomechanics, physiology and psychology laboratories and a sports therapy clinic.\n

\nOur sports complex provides playing fields, a synthetic athletics track, fitness suite, dance studio, 25m swimming pool, floodlit 3G multicourts, and tennis, squash and netball courts. We also have a laboratory, research and rehabilitation facilities. These include performance, sleep, and biochemistry laboratories, as well as functional rehab and kinesiology facilities.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
