You can sign into your application and add another choice, provided that you do so before the end of June, and you&#8217;ve not already accepted or declined any offers.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-expanding-box-1miS1K wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-expanding-box\">            <div class=\"expander-wrap \">\n                <div class=\"expander__header\">\n                    <span class=\"expander__title\"><h3>What&#8217;s the difference between UCAS Extra and Clearing?<\/h3><\/span>\n                    <button class=\"expander__btn\" aria-label=\"Toggle\"><span class=\"fa fa-chevron-down\"><\/span><\/button>\n                <\/div>\n                                <div class=\"expander__content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><\/p>\n\n<p>The main difference is that UCAS Extra opens earlier in the application cycle on Wednesday 26 February 2026 and closes on Wednesday 1 July 2026. With UCAS Extra, you can apply for an extra choice on top of the five made in your original application, provided that you used all five choices and didn&#8217;t receive or have declined all offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clearing opens the day after on Thursday 2 July, and matches students who don&#8217;t have any offers with universities who still have course vacancies to fill. If you haven&#8217;t received any offers and the UCAS Extra deadline of Wednesday 1 July 2026 hasn&#8217;t passed, then you should definitely apply through UCAS Extra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are holding offers from universities and are happy with your choices, then you should wait for results day. There\u2019s no limit to how many courses you can apply for through UCAS Extra, but you can only apply for one at a time. If you change your mind, you can withdraw your choice before an offer is made.
