This guide aims to help to make sense of the typical and additional entry requirements that may be required when applying to study at university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We explain how to achieve selected totals of UCAS Tariff points from A-Levels, BTEC awards, T Levels and Access diplomas and outline the range of alternatives qualifications that we also accept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>As a starting point, it&#8217;s important to remember our entry criteria varies depending on whether you are joining an undergraduate or postgraduate course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Undergraduate degrees<\/strong> \u2013 entry requirements for undergraduate degrees are typically expressed in terms of UCAS Tariff points, with some courses requesting grades in specific subject areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Postgraduate courses and PGCEs<\/strong> \u2013 entry requirements for master&#8217;s degrees and PGCEs usually ask for a degree which for some courses may need to be in a relevant subject area and\/or at a minimum award classification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on what you&#8217;d like to study with us, additional criteria may also apply. --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1920\/1080;\" \/>\n                        <\/figure>\n                                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UCAS tariff points<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To join an undergraduate degree at Edge Hill University, you will typically need to achieve a certain number of UCAS Tariff points as all or part of the entry criteria. <strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucas.com\/undergraduate\/what-and-where-study\/entry-requirements\/ucas-tariff-points\">UCAS Tariff<\/a> allocates points to a range of qualifications in university entry requirements.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We accept qualifications such as A and AS Levels, BTEC\/OCR Nationals and Higher Nationals, BTEC QCF, T Levels, International\/European\/Welsh Baccalaureates, Scottish Highers, Irish Leaving Certificates, Access to HE Diplomas, NVQ Level 3 (alongside other recognised qualifications), Advanced Diplomas and Open University credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To establish the number of UCAS Tariff points required for a specific degree, and to see if there are any additional requirements for your preferred course(s), you should refer to the individual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/course\/\">course pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Example offers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some typical examples of how you can achieve selected totals of UCAS Tariff points through the successful completion of A Levels, BTEC awards, T Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) and Access to higher education diplomas are detailed below. We also welcome Key Skills qualifications and the UCAS Tariff points for Key Skills will be counted towards the overall points score requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-expanding-box-dhmz8 at least five grade Bs or above, from subjects studied at the Higher Level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will also need to meet the overall points requirement for the course that you are applying for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certain programmes may require a minimum grade to be achieved in a specific subject.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div qualification, we encourage you to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are various types of CACHE qualifications and you should ensure that the qualification that you are completing meets the requirements for the course that you are applying for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-expanding-box-Z1ST5wX wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-expanding-box\">            <div class=\"expander-wrap \">\n                <div class=\"expander__header\">\n                    <span class=\"expander__title\">FETAC Qualifications<\/span>\n                    <button class=\"expander__btn\" aria-label=\"Toggle\"><span class=\"fa fa-chevron-down\"><\/span><\/button>\n                <\/div>\n                                <div class=\"expander__content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have a FETAC qualification, this can typically contribute towards meeting the entry requirements for many of our undergraduate programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It must be accompanied, however, with other suitable qualifications, such as A Levels or an Irish Leaving Certificate, worth approximately 80 UCAS Tariff points on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucas.com\/ucas\/undergraduate\/getting-started\/entry-requirements\/tariff\/new-tariff\">new UCAS Tariff<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you wish to study <a
