If the answer is yes, you\u2019ll need to check your tuition fee status and eligibility for student finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New rules around tuition fee status and eligibility for student finance began in August 2021. To apply for a Tuition Fee Loan to cover your course fees you\u2019ll also need to meet the same eligibility criteria as UK students. Check your eligibility with Student Finance England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Living costs support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two ways you may be able to receive funding to help with your living costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you\u2019re an Irish national who\u2019s lived in Ireland for at least three of the last five years, you should be eligible to apply to Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) for additional funding to help with living costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re an Irish national who\u2019s lived in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for three or more years before the start of the course, you may be eligible for Maintenance Loan or Postgraduate Loan support from Student Finance England.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PGCE students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an Irish citizen, who\u2019s been resident in Ireland, the UK, Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man (or a combination of these locations) for three years before the start of your course, you\u2019ll be eligible for the UK tuition fee rate. Irish students studying for a PGCE can apply for an undergraduate Tuition Fee Loan to cover course fees. You\u2019ll need to meet the same eligibility criteria as UK students. Check your eligibility with <strong>Student Finance England<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Living costs support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irish nationals are not usually eligible for a Maintenance Loan from Student Finance England to support their PGCE studies unless:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You\u2019re an Irish national who\u2019s lived in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for three or more years before the start of the course. In this case you may be eligible for Maintenance Loan support from Student Finance England.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Postgraduate students (excluding PGCE)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an Irish citizen, who\u2019s been resident in Ireland, the UK, Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man (or a combination of these locations) for three years before the start of your course, you\u2019ll be eligible for the UK tuition fee rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Master\u2019s Loan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an Irish national who\u2019s lived in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for three or more years before the start of the course, you may be eligible for <strong>Master\u2019s Loan Support<\/strong> from Student Finance England. Check your eligibility with Student Finance England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Doctoral Loan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an Irish citizen, who\u2019s been resident in Ireland, the UK, Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man (or a combination of these locations) for three years before the start of your course, you may be eligible for a <strong>Doctoral Loan<\/strong>. Check your eligibility with Student Finance England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Living costs support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no additional Maintenance Loans with Master\u2019s or Doctoral Loans.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-ehu-expanding-box-ZGTY5f wp-block-lazyblock-ehu-expanding-box\">            <div class=\"expander-wrap \">\n                <div class=\"expander__header\">\n                    <span class=\"expander__title\">I\u2019m an EU\/EEA or Swiss student from outside the UK<\/span>\n                    <button class=\"expander__btn\" aria-label=\"Toggle\"><span class=\"fa fa-chevron-down\"><\/span><\/button>\n                <\/div>\n                                <div class=\"expander__content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><\/p>\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an EU\/EEA or Swiss student, you\u2019ll be liable to pay the international rate of tuition fees when starting at Edge Hill unless you\u2019ve been granted settled status or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 28%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>This applies to prospective students from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8cf370e7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Other EU countries:<\/strong> Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other European Economic Area (EEA) countries:<\/strong> Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Switzerland<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is settled or pre-settled status?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8cf370e7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>If you&#8217;re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, registered with the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), your status will depend on how long you\u2019ve lived in the UK, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Settled status is awarded if you\u2019ve already lived in the UK for five continuous years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pre-settled status is awarded for anything less than five years (after five years residence you can apply for settled status). Absence or more than six months in a 12-month period could break your period of continuous residence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you do have settled or pre-settled status<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8cf370e7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>If you have settled or pre-settled status as an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen the financial support you could receive is different depending on your status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have settled status and have lived in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for the three years before starting your course, you could be eligible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Home fee status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition fee loan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help with living costs &#8211; Maintenance loan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have pre-settled status, you could be eligible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Home fee status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition fee loan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Living costs \u2013 you may be eligible for a maintenance loan if you\u2019ve lived in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for the three years before starting your course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you don\u2019t have settled or pre-settled status<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The international rate of tuition fees will apply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You won\u2019t be eligible to apply for any financial support from Student Finance England such as Tuition Fee Loans and Maintenance Loans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may be eligible for scholarships at Edge Hill University, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgehill.ac.uk\/departments\/support\/international\/\">International pages<\/a> to find out more<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may be able to access financial support from your own country\u2019s student finance scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Deadlines for the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residency Requirement: You must have been living in the UK by 31 December 2020 to be eligible to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application Deadline: 30 June 2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you missed the 30 June 2021 deadline but believe you qualify under exceptional circumstances, you may still be able to make a late application to the EU Settlement Scheme &#8211;
